Dying Reef is an 2019 acrylic painting that is inspired by beautiful locales in danger of disappearing forever. Tourism around the world has supported local economies but also led to irrevocable ecological damage, with human consumption enabling the pillaging of resources. Thus, conservation efforts must also critique peripheral systems and/or powers that circulate the trafficking and endangerment of nature.
